Isobutanol, available in 99.5% and 99.9% concentrations, is produced via advanced propene hydroformylation technology using rhodium catalysts, followed by rigorous fractionation and purification processes . It features excellent solvency power, moderate evaporation rate, and partial miscibility with water while being completely miscible with most organic solvents . As a branched four-carbon primary alcohol, it is widely used in the production of coating resins, paint thinners, printing inks, and as an intermediate in the flavor, fragrance, and pharmaceutical industries . Its high purity and consistent quality make it ideal for critical applications requiring precise solvent properties. Scope of Application

  • Used as a solvent in oven-dried varnishes, urea and phenolic resin-based coatings, and nitrocellulose and alkyd resin varnishes ;

  • Used in the preparation of flotation agents for ore processing and in synthetic leather manufacturing ;

  • Serves as a solvent and reagent in analytical chemistry for the determination of calcium, strontium, barium, sodium, potassium, lithium, silver, chlorine, and phosphites ;

  • Acts as a raw material for the production of petroleum additives, antioxidants (2,6-di-tert-butyl-p-cresol), and synthetic musk fragrances ;

  • Used in the lipase-catalyzed production of biodiesel and as a catalyst for liquid-phase esterification reactions ;

    Packaging and Transportation

    Available in epoxy-lined steel drums (160kg-170kg), IBC totes, and ISO tanks ;

    Classified as flammable liquid (Class 3), comply with all transportation safety regulations including UN1112 or UN1212 classification with Packing Group III ;

    Safety and Storage

    Store in a cool, well-ventilated warehouse away from kindling, heat sources, and direct sunlight; maintain storage temperature below 30°C ;

    Keep containers tightly sealed to prevent evaporation, contamination, and moisture absorption;

    Avoid storage with strong oxidizing agents, acids, acid anhydrides, acid chlorides, alkali metals, and aluminum ;

    Ensure storage area is equipped with explosion-proof electrical equipment and appropriate fire-fighting systems suitable for Class B fires (alcohol-resistant foam, dry chemical, carbon dioxide; do NOT use water jet) ;
