It features excellent solvency power, high boiling point, and a characteristic camphor-like odor . As a secondary cycloaliphatic alcohol, it is a critical industrial intermediate primarily used in the production of nylon-6 and nylon-66 through oxidation to adipic acid or caprolactam . Its high purity and consistent quality make it ideal for critical applications requiring precise solvent properties and chemical reactivity. Scope of Application

  • Used as a key intermediate in the production of adipic acid, hexamethylene diamine, cyclohexanone, and caprolactam for nylon manufacturing 

  • Acts as a solvent for rubber, resins, nitrocellulose, metallic soaps, oils, esters, and ethers in industrial formulations 

  • Widely applied in the production of plasticizers (e.g., dicyclohexyl phthalate), surface-active agents, and as a soap stabilizing agent in disinfectant medicated soaps and detergent emulsions 

  • Functions as a paint blending agent, leather degreasing agent, and in dry cleaning preparations 

  • Serves as a laboratory reagent for organic synthesis, including esterification reactions where cyclohexyl esters are used to protect carboxylic acids in peptide synthesis 

  • Used in analytical chemistry for the colorimetric determination of molybdenum and rhenium, and as a solvent for bismuth determination with 8-hydroxyquinoline or iodides 

  • Acts as a precursor to cyclohexene and is utilized in the synthesis of various esters, plasticizers, and stabilizers

The product exhibits partial solubility in cold water (3.6g/100g at 20°C) while being miscible with ethanol, ethyl ether, acetone, chloroform, ethyl acetate, linseed oil, benzene, and most organic solvents .

    Available in epoxy-lined steel drums (190kg-200kg), IBC totes, and ISO tanks;

    Due to melting point of 23-25°C, heated or insulated packaging available for cold weather transport to maintain liquid state;

    Safety and Storage
