As a straight-chain primary alcohol with an eight-carbon chain, it is widely used as a solvent in coatings, a flavor and fragrance intermediate, a chemical building block for plasticizers and surfactants, an anti-foaming agent, and a precursor in pharmaceutical synthesis . Scope of Application

The product exhibits very limited solubility in water (0.3-0.814 g/L at 20-25°C) while being completely miscible with ethanol, ether, chloroform, and most organic solvents .

Safety and Storage
